ABOUT US
Purpose:
To ignite the movement of marketplace ministry in the Nashville MSA and
the State of Tennessee by equipping and leveraging the power of God's
people at work.
Mission:
The Tennessee Christian Chamber of Commerce is a faith-based
organization designed to advance the common business interests of its
members. Our goal is to support economic and spiritual growth of our
members by providing networking, professional and spiritual development
and community-building opportunities to affect change and make an impact
for Jesus Christ in the marketplace.
Vision:
-
For
Christian business leaders in the greater Nashville region to join
forces under the TN Christian Chamber of Commerce to empower other
business professionals for success and marketplace impact.
-
To
offer a clearinghouse for Nashville Christian businesses,
organizations and ministries.
-
To
leverage resources and relationships with the other Christian
Chamber of Commerce chapters.
-
To
bring the business community out of their places of Sunday worship
and find practical applications for their faith at work the rest of
the week.
-
To
reclaim our institutions of education, religion, business, arts and
entertainment, media, family and government through "faith at
work" initiatives.
-
To
grow the faith, purpose and mission of each individual Christian in
the workplace and expand their territory.
-
To
share, show and teach Christians in the marketplace how to apply
biblical principles in their jobs and companies.
-
To
increase influence in the community and business success.
-
To
add value to the lives we come in contact with on a daily basis that
may stumble into our place of business, but not necessarily our
church.
-
To
improve the effectiveness of marketplace Christian professionals.
-
To
set the standard for a Christian Chamber of Commerce for other metro
areas to model where currently no Christian Chamber exists.
-
To
be obedient to God's calling to minister to the marketplace and to
build an army by His Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.
Goals:
To serve as the umbrella to support ministry in the marketplace
with programs, events, education, fellowship, information, web and print
communications and networking.
To
connect many known and unknown Christian business leaders, owners
and professionals in our community in order to work in partnership to
make an impact.
To
collaborate with secular chambers of commerce in the community and
encourage Christians to maintain their membership as part of the
outreach.
To
educate the Christian business community with that which concerns
them legally, spiritually and economically.
To
share and uncover existing resources in our community to do all the
above.
